THE PRODUCTS

Design restraint is key to letting the premium materials and textured finish sing. 

While other blended options are available, as a standard we use the best card for letterpress applications, which is 100% cotton (tree free) paper in 300gsm or extra plush 600gsm. Handmade cotton rag paper can also be sourced for special orders, which is sustainably made in New Zealand and chemical-free.

Premium envelopes are made in Western Australia in a huge array of colours to complement your stationery.

THE PROCESS

Once your design is confirmed - there is a lead time of 4-6 weeks to create your work.

It is a good idea to reach out at least 8 weeks before you would like to receive your printed products. Rush orders incur a 10% fee and will depend on other jobs we have on hand. Please contact us before placing your order.

Confirming your design
It is important that you are as specific as possible when providing your design brief. We will use this information to prepare your initial concept and want to make sure this is as close as possible to your vision!

For custom and semi-custom designs, three re-works and change requests are provided within your quote. Additional changes will incur a fee of $50 each. Changes are possible after you have approved the final proof for the cost price of the printing plates.

Communication
In order to meet the timeframes it is important we are each responsive to emails and requests for information. If we experience a delay (over 48hours) in hearing from you, we may need to add this time to the expected delivery date. If the delay is on our end, we will keep you informed at all times, and will endeavour to ensure this does not impact the final delivery date.

Shipping
When printing is complete, your invitations will be assembled, lovingly packaged, and sent via Australia Post Express with insurance. Tracking will be provided so you can monitor your package until it arrives at your door.

Cancellation
Due to the fine quality materials and highly manual process, your order may only be cancelled;

- For a full refund (minus 10%) within 7 days of placing your order
- For a 50% refund within 7-14 days of placing your order
- No refund will be possible after 14 days of placing your order.

THE PRESS

Our stationery is printed on a 1907 Chandler & Price Printing Press, which was transported from America and lovingly restored. 

There is no motor, just good-old-fashioned foot power. The treadle must be pressed to keep the press moving, and it takes at least four compressions to create a single impression.

Paper is fed one-by-one, by hand into the press, in a very deliberate and attentive process. Through careful adjustments and many (…many!) pounds of pressure, the press creates plush indentations into soft cotton card.

We are also in the process of restoring a 1940’s Heidelberg, which isn’t in production yet, but is teaching us so much more about these beautiful machines.
